Simon Brooks will be bringing his magical words, stories and humour to Wilmot Library for the Summer Reading Program, “Plant a Seed.” We don’t just plant seeds to grow plants, but we can also plant ideas. Sometimes, in these stories both can happen!
Within the stories that Simon will share, there will be farmers who bargain and battle with boggarts; Anansi will trick people with a talking melon, or his Hat Shaking Dance; Toad, Rooster and Grasshopper reestablish a farm, and sadly fall out; and of course there will be one of Simon’s signature stories: The Goat from the Hills &the Mountains, as well other tales he is working on.
