Whipple Free Library - Fright Night!

  • Whipple Free Library 67 Mont Vernon Road New Boston, NH, 03070 United States (map)

British storyteller Simon Brooks will be sharing spooky stories for most ages!

It’s that time when the leaves crunch under your feet, the shadows are at their deepest. Is that the sound of someone following you, is that a scratching sound you hear? Is that a banshee calling out your name? Ghost stories, spooky tales by definition can be frightening for really young people whilst older kids will tell you they want scarier stories, until they don’t!

The event will begin at 6 pm for younger ears. We will tell more fun and not so scary tales for about 20 minutes, then the littles will be escourted to a play area. The older kids, 12 and up, the adults who enjoy a good chill, a scare or two will hang out with Simon for another 40-60 minute set of increasely frightening stories. The idea is for fun and not nightmares when you get home, but still, is that the sound of someone following you, is that a scratching sound you hear? Is that a banshee calling out your name?
