Anyone knows that time moves differntly in the fairy realm, and she wants to get back to her child and husband! (

Storytelling is a craft taking lots of discipline, creative and time. It is often a craft done alone and the need for peace and practice time are essential. But then comes parenthood and, well, peace and time are near to impossible. Creativity might only be done behind a locked bathroom door or late in the night when young ones have been read to sleep, gotten the 10th “last cup” of water and kisses given. Practice time might be on the way back and forth from drop off at school, ballet, music lessons and the doctors. And discipline – well, you just have to find a way, because a story will demand to be told – parent or not.

The reality though is that sometimes as a parent – whether in the folktale world or in the real world – there are many more great joys, while walking through the stresses. This group of storytelling parents share these joys – and sometimes frustrations – of themselves and parents from the folktale world. Come and join and fun night of stories with: Sarah Brady, Rachel Harrington, Arianna Ross, Simon Brooks, Misty Mator, Rick Huddle, Jessica Piscitelli and a special 25 minute storytelling by Antonio Sacre of his lauded “World’s Second Best Dad”.
