Stories for Summer - Warner NH

Potentially a nice summer evening listening to stories based on the summer reading program theme - Ready, Set, Read! Sponsored by the Pillsbury Free Library, Warner, NH.

β€œOn your mark! Get Set! Off you go then,” said Bear to Beaver and Turtle to see who was fastest. With permission from Joseph Bruchac, Simon Brooks will be telling this Seneca story, as well as many other tales from all over the world in the 2016 Summer Reading Program. Races to win hearts (kissing stories), races against time (adventure stories), and getting into the game is what every hero of a story does! He might not be playing football (soccer), but British storyteller Simon Brooks puts equal amounts of energy into his telling as Tim Howard, Gareth Bale, Alex Morgan, Homara Sawa, or Abby Wambach do playing on the field. The most jaded audience will find the power and magic in the stories Simon tells, whether 5 years old, 13, or an adult care provider.

If we have clear skies, stories will be heard in the park next door to the library. (If it rains we will be in the Town Hall!)
